Mem Fox and Julie Vivas classic book "Possum Magic"

A heatwave of sorts and a tummy bug- Great!

Being the primary parent is tough when you go down sick. Henrietta wasn't too well either, so little Ned had the day pottering around, generally making the place into his own little bomb zone. This is when I thank God for our decision on "No tv" in the house. This alone means Ned is pretty good at independent 'play' or discovery. Not quite play, yet.

I must have read his new favourite book, "Possum Magic" by
Mem Fox , about 8 or 9 times, whilst he balanced on my unsettled belly. Could have been dangerous!

But there was good news too. My best high school friend Ness called early to tell me her brother Mick, missing in Sumatra with the tsunami, had been contacted and all was well. Mick and his friends were on a surf safari, and luckily were on a boat out at sea when the waves hit.

It is times like this that you have to thank "God" (insert your own greater power here) for big miracles.

I am a big believer in 'something greater'. The more I live, the more I KNOW in my heart (and experience) that there is a positive force that we can tune into if we dare!

Last night, Henri was shopping with friends at 'late night' (got to get the term right, of course)and I was on pick up. Going out to the car, under an almost full moon and surrounded by acreage peacefulness, I was thinking to myself, I am so grateful for my quiet life that lets me truly think my own thoughts and strive for objectiveness.

Just then, into my head pops Guy Sebastian's new song so I began singing it out loud. I clicked my seat belt in whilst singing, and ONLY THEN turned on the radio to find that I was at the EXACT PART OF THE SONG!!!!!

Don't things like that give you goose pimples!!

Have you had any goose pimple experiences lately???
Why not share here??

0 thoughtful sentiments from YOU!:
