FOR WOMEN:
Felted story mats! A wonderful helpful tool to inspire both your creativity in the making of the mat, and later, both your and your children's storytelling abilities! A storymat is a great platform and encourages wads of words to roll out of mouths! $45 per person, includes all materials. Minimum groups of 6. Gather 11 together and the host felts for free! Your home or mine! Day or night!
Seasonal Craft nights- Gather a group of 8 or more and I will bring everything you need for everyone to make 5 small crafty items for spring (or summer, winter, autumn). Great intro into craft techniques and plenty of fun. A great girl's night in! $20 per person, 3 hours.
Something different for baby or wedding showers. Why not ask what we could do? Fleece Flower posies, Guardian angels, needlefelted Welcome banners.... Gather a group of 8 or more. I bring everything. All you provide is the space and nibblies. Minimum charge $160 (8 pax). 2-3 hours.
Daily celebrations- Ideas for a more creative (family) life. Talk and presentation, with small handwork items to complete. Contact me for more details....
FOR PARENTS:
Magical Parenting- creative strategies to parent young children and, like magic, get them to do what needs to be done- easily!! Course runs 9-4pm, or as 3 sessions of 2 hours. $60 per single, $90 per couple. Gather a few friends and we can learn together in your home!
Involve your head (thinking), heart (feeling) and hands (doing) in this practical course that will change the way you think about parenting!
"Craft rules"- How craft can make your child smarter!!!
A talk on craft, with practical examples of how this tool can be used to build brain power.
Other talks include:
1. The Language Arts- how story and circle times can triple build your child's visual, oral and written language skills!
2. The 12 senses and brain development. An overview of sensory development and brain integration with a view towards academic readiness.
3. Creative discipline- How to be the master of your ship, with shipmates that cooperate.
4. Movement and the necessity of it for life! Why getting your children to move, in many different ways, is crucial to academic and life success. Practical activities including full body (gross motor), fine motor (finger and toes) and the work of the hand in craft and creative activity.
